The Faculty of Statistical and Computer Engineering took a prominent part in the institutional parade held for the 169th anniversary of the Universidad Nacional del Altiplano — Puno (UNA Puno). The event, held on the city's Av. Costanera, brought together every faculty, along with authorities, staff and students, who reaffirmed their pride in belonging to one of the country's most representative public universities.
A university with history and tradition
UNA Puno, founded on 29 August 1856 under the government of President Ramón Castilla and thanks to the efforts of Senator Enrique Torres Belón, celebrates 169 years of institutional life. From the outset it has helped train professionals across many fields of knowledge and has established itself as an academic point of reference in southern Peru, with national and international reach.
Commemorative events
As part of the programme, the national flag was raised, followed by the civic and institutional parade, in which the various faculties, schools and academic units of UNA Puno displayed their identity, discipline and commitment to educational excellence.
