  • Entry Profile

    1. The entry profile is the set of qualities expected of students joining the school — capabilities, knowledge and attitudes that help them undertake and complete university study with the greatest academic benefit:

Academic ObjectivesOE1. Achieve quality learning by training professionals highly skilled in the statistical and computing sciences, using a competency-based methodology. OA2. Foster a scientific attitude in students through formative research, contributing to the social, scientific and technological development of the region. OA3. Incorporate faculty research into the teaching of the courses in the curriculum. OA4. Encourage in students an attitude of service and commitment to society by taking part in outreach and dissemination work on statistics and computing, strengthening the country's educational development. OA5. Run a system for monitoring and continuously improving academic processes. OA6. Carry out and promote scientific research in statistics and computing. OA7. Provide ongoing training and professional development for graduates, faculty, students of the programme and professionals from other fields, through courses and extracurricular activities held at the school.Educational ObjectivesThree years after graduating from the School of Statistical and Computer Engineering, our professionals should be able to: OE1.
